NOTE Since the FDIC there have been fewer bank failures. Isn't this a good thing?

1
00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:07.000
Now, obviously, when you have that, you're not going to have any less bank runs, if any, than in a situation where the banks are free to go bankrupt.

2
00:00:07.000 --> 00:00:16.000
But, see, the point is, as far as I'm concerned, the more the banks go bankrupt, the better it is, because that at least keeps a healthy check on bank credit and inflation.

3
00:00:16.000 --> 00:00:18.000
I mean, now the sky's the limit.

4
00:00:18.000 --> 00:00:25.000
The banks are free now. They can do anything they want within the limits of the Federal Reserve system. Of course, the Federal Reserve is inflationary anyway.

00:00:25.000 --> 00:00:30.000
So, hey, nobody denies the use of facts there, it's a question of interpretation and print-on-ass.
